The food, the beer, and the service are always on point and we only wish we lived closer to fully enjoy the Taproom. More recently I've had the oyster basket and my husband the gumbo special. We have family on the TX/LA border and New Orleans is our favorite place. The gumbo is just like down south, the oysters fresh and flavorful, and most surprisingly the hushpuppies were fluffy and light with a crispy fried shell. The beer list will not leave you wanting. My personal favorite and local: Black Hog Brown Ale! My only criticism is the dining area which smells a bit like a wet rag with cleaning solution. It does have a hole in the wall feel so it's easily forgiven, especially with excellent food and service.June 20, 2016
